Parent Teacher Conference

Jenna has really been enjoying school.  She has so much enthusiasm to learn and show us what she has been learning each day. We have been working on word wheels. For those who don't know what a word wheel is I took a picture of tonight's wheel.

Most wheels have focused on a family of words, such as -at.  Where you see the letter e, there will be various letters like r, f, b, m, c, h, p then Jenna comes up with rat, fat, bat, mat, cat, hat, pat.  This word wheel is short vowel sounds, which is one of the harder ones for me.

We had parent teacher conferences tonight.  Jenna got her first report card which had all M's an WO's. M is mastering and WO is work on. She has two skills she needs to work on-"following rules & procedures"and "does not interrupt."  I am not surprised at either!  She had an excellent report from the teacher that said she was one of the 4 or 5 advanced learners, readers, and mathematicians.  We are definitely proud of our Jenna May.
