Update: Baby, House, Life

I am sorry I have not updated things on here lately.  I go through spells and this is one of those "I have more to do than time to do it" spells.

Baby:  I went the doctor for my 17 week appointment (2 weeks ago).  Baby's heart beat sounded great.  I scheduled ultrasound for Monday, March 4, in the later afternoon.  As far as pregnancy goes, things have been going pretty well.  I have been having some heartburn, but it's okay because I have also been feeling the baby move.

House:  We are 99.75% done with things in the addition onto the house.  We have moved furniture into the msaster bedroom, have been showering in the master bathroom, and have clothes in the master closet.  We have moved the living room into the new living room and re-arranged the table in the living room/dining room space.  Every weekend is another project!

Life:  Jenna turned 4, which I did blog about.  Her birthday party is this weekend, so I have been waiting to post pictures of the house until things are settled and until after birthday party weekend.  Lance and I went to French Lick this past weekend as a reward trip with my employer, Farm Credit.   We had fun.  I will try to post a couple pictures over the weekend.

Until next time.............

French Lick Getaway

As a reward, my region earned an overnight trip with our spouse/significant other to French Lick again this year.  If you remember from this blog post last year, we were lucky enough to get another getaway this year.  We met my parents at Vincennes Tractor (Lance's work) to drop off the kids.  We then met the rest of the Farm Credit employees of Southwest Indiana at French Lick Winery for dinner.  We had a short business meeting, wine tasting (for some people), and fellowship.

Saturday we were on our own.  I told Lance I would enjoying going over to the West Baden Hotel again, just because both hotels are so neat, with their architecture and atmosphere.  Also, with a new camera and different weather/lighting I was hoping for some better pictures.

The detail of the painting gets me every time!

Otherwise, we did a little shopping/browsing at some antique shops in downtown French Lick.  Then we met up at my parents to celebrate February birthdays with the Rentchler's and Schenk's.

Haircuts

I have struggled finding someone I liked to cut my hair.  I finally found a gal who does a pretty good job and whom I get along with.  I invited Lance, Jenna, and Shelby to visit her.  Here is what happened....
Jenna lost about an two inches off the back.
Shelby got her first real hair cut.
Lance got his cut too.  We all needed to get spiffed up, we were about to have a weekend in French Lick and have birthday party.  Sorry Lance has the before pictures on his phone.

Valentine Crafts

A note came home from daycare saying the girls were going to have a Valentine's Day party on Thursday.  The parents were asked to create Valentine exchange envelopes for their child and to provide Valentine cards for the kids "friends".  So, Sunday after naptime, Mommy got out the craft supplies and we got to work.  I hollered at Daddy and asked him to capture a few pictures!

I love the concentration on her face in this picture.
Almost done....
Now time to work on Shelby's
Concentration from Little Bits.
Almost done....
Then we started on the second crafty project.  For those of you who watch me on Pinterest, you probally see I pin quite a few "hand print" ideas.  I just think they are cute!  So....
I dotted letters on the page and let Jenna trace the text.
She was very proud of her project!
In case you can't read it or don't get it at first glance, it reads:  Hands down Jenna (hands form a heart) U.
The projects completed today!

FOUR

Sunday, Miss Jenna turned four years old!  We celebrated her birthday just the four of us.  Mommy made cupcakes and iced them.  Jenna got one of her favorite meals....Spaghetti for supper.  We also had chocolate chip ice cream!
Blowing out the candles!
Shelby would only eat the icing off her cupcake!
We took Jenna in to Terre Haute to pick out her birthday present.  We had been debating between different forms of electronics or getting her a bike.  She had been asking for a bike, but we weren't sure what size would suit her for her age/size/stature/ability.  There are 12", 14", 16", 18" etc.  Without putting the kid on the bike, I wasn't willing to purchase it.  So, here is Jenna and her new bike.
It is navy blue with Cinderella and a baby doll basket in a 16" size.  We backed work cars out so she could ride it around in the garage on her birthday.
As for a birthday party, it has been post-poned for a couple weeks until the house is done enough to have family over.  We are expecting carpet on Tuesday and to move into our master bedroom and master bath over the weekend.  Right now looks like party will be the last weekend of the month.  (See last post about house update.  I posted right before this one and backdated it!

Wood, Trim, n Plumbin'

A good majority of the wood and trim has been installed.
They wanted to do this prior to the carpet's arrival.  I found this strange, but whatever?!?!?
Closets are done, but you never know what you might find stored in them each night.
Plumbers made it back.  As of Friday night we were a three toliet family!  However, we had to wait until Sunday, when we got the new toliet seats to make them fully functional.
The put the vanity and sink in.  However, the mudders built out the corners enough that they had to score the wall to get the sink topper to fit in the hole propperly.
Progress! Progress! Progress!
