Cereal

Last night, I fed Jenna cereal for the very first time. She took it very well. Of course I took pictures...

I think I'm ready for this Mommy.

Okay, I thought I was, but this stuff tastes funny.

Is that all?
And Mommy only got a little on my bib.

Status Update from the Doctor

Today Jenna is 15 weeks old. We went to see the doctor for our next round of immunizations. Meanwhile we also have new stats...
11 lbs 4 oz and 22.5 inches long

This is a gain of not quite 2 lbs and exactly 2 inches since her 6 week check-up. This makes Jenna average height and weight for her age bracket.

Doctor said asked about her capabilities and we figured out she is doing everything she should be at her age (rolling over, putting her hands together, cooing, smiling, laughing, supporting her neck when she is pulled up). He said our next thing would likely be teeth. He also said I am welcome to start feeding her a cereal supplement at any point.

One Vacation Day Equals

Yesterday we mowed grass, dug a deep hole to look at the drainage, fixed drainage, filled in the deep hole, cleaned up outside, weed eated (is that a word?), and dreamed about the future. Needless to say all the outside work made me dirty. I took a shower and fed Jenna. Well, I was burping her before bedtime and this is what happened.
Today, I took a vacation day.
One vacation day equals ...
30 minutes at Ford to be told my car door lock doesn't work, a fact I new before I went.
6 new blog posts and lots of pictures
and time spent with my baby...priceless
Angel says that she has watched Kaity grow up thinking, this is my favorite stage. I often think of her saying that and find myself thinking the same thing...this is my favorite stage. How can it get any better?
Currenly, Jenna loves to stand on her legs, giggles, holds her hands together like she is praying, rolls both directions, scoots herself in circles while laying down, sucks her thumb, grabs her feet, smiles, and coos like crazy. How can it get any better?

Hofmann Cousins

Saturday evening we got together with the Hofmann family just for fun. We got a few good pictures of Kaity, Kent, and Jenna.
Uncle Lance was playing with Kent.
Kaity lounging with Jenna.
Lance and Christa realize what they have to look froward to...Kent is 13 months older than Jenna. So we look at him and say...next year Jenna will be _______.

reaching for the remote and be walking along the side of just about everything.
Jenna just chillin.

We had a nice evening with the family. It's so much fun to watch the kids interact.

Rollin' Over

Jenna was on the floor on her back at the office on Friday. Ilooked over at her and she is up on her side. Then boom, over she went...onto her belly.

So I flipped her back over onto her back and she did it again. This time she posed really cute for a picture. Mommy, look at me, I am a BIG girl!

Mommy's Day

This was my first Mother's Day and it was pretty good. Lance and Jenna went out for a while on Sunday morning after church so I could get ready for my family that evening. When Lance and Jenna came home I got my Mother's Day presents... 2 rose bushes, 6 geraniums, some petunias, and dianthus. Now, I have lots of pretty flowers around my new house.

Sunday evening, my family came over to celebrate Grammy's birthday. We had homemade lazagnia and a nice time playing with the girls.
Hope you had a Happy Birthday Grammy.

Kentucky Lake

We spent a Monday - Wednesday at Lake Barkley. Christa had some work meetings there and didn't want to be away from Jenna & Lance that long so they just came along. We captured some really great pictures.

We went to Patti's to eat supper one evening. Lance had the 2 inch thick pork chop.

It was a good trip. Daddy really got to spend some quality time with Jenna. Jenna & Lance got to meet my co-workers from across the state.

Lunch Conversations

This video was taken during my lunch hour today. Jenna has become really vocal (with her pretty voice). She has also started being able to grip things...watch the keys in her hand.

PS. This is my first video post; aren't you proud?

3 months - now featuring pictures

I finally got pictures attached! Jenna was 3 months old on Sunday. She is growing so much. Friday afternoon and evening, she really found her voice. She is even capable of carring on a conversation with you. She has also been very alert. She watches and studies everything around her. The dinner table is the funniest. She likes to watch you put food in your mouth and is amused that the fork or spoon is empy when it comes out. I'm thinking with her amusement she needs to start on some cereal.

I am studying mommy's clematus....
and really don't know what to think about it.
I smile cute with my buddy Nash.

Right Handed?

Jenna has really found her hands this last week. In finding her hands she has starded sucking her thumb. I think it's funny though, because her fingers must be straight out against her face. That and she will only suck her thumb on her right hand.

Does this mean she will likely be right handed?
