Cousins saying "Boiler Up!"
This morning, I babysat Miss Ciara while Carla worked. Ciara and Jenna's schedules are a little off, so both girls were not awake and happy at the same times. Therefore, while Ciara was asleep Aunt Christa got the girls close and took pictures.

Little People
The "camping group" got together over the weekend. This was the first time several of them met both Jenna and Emma. I learned it is hard to get a good picture of 4 little people (under the age of 10 months). Youngest to oldest and L to R is Emma, Jenna, Aubrey, and Ciara.
All the girls were curious about the other people their size. Ciara decided she would explore another little foot....Yummy!

Hands, Feet & Giggles
The last 10 days or so have been very exciting around the Hofmann household. One day at work, I caught Jenna sitting in her chair, staring at her hands. I touched the hand she was staring at and she pulled it away from me. The last few days she has really been staring at her feet. Her eyes get really big when she moves them. It is really neat to watch her amuse herself.
This evening, as I got done feeding her, she smiled. I smiled back at her and she started to giggle. This, of course, made me laugh....which in turn made her giggle again. It was precious. Then I tried to get her to giggle again and well...I guess she was done giggling for tonight.

2 month pictures
Jenna got several pictures taken over the weekend. She is doing a good job holding her head up. She really likes to sit up too! When she is sitting up, I think she bears much more resemblence to the Hofmann family.
When I was in the post office over the weekend, the lady from the bank was mailing packages. She asked to see the baby and her first comment was, "there's no doubt that baby is a Hofmann." I really think that is what every mommy wants to hear (even if I do agree).
This was Jenna's one month close up...
and her 2 month close up (below).

2 months & 2 severe storms
Jenna is 2 months old today! I hope to take pictures tonight of her and Nash.
Yesterday marks the second severe storm that has went over us since Jenna was born. I guess I shouldn't be surprised since it is tornado season...

Spontaneity
It seems like no matter how hard you try to plan things, spontaneous things tend to arise.
On Monday evening last week, I interviewed a babysitter and I really liked her. Spontaneously on Wendesday, she calls and says she no longer has an opening, because a couple of her current moms are pregnant.
I have been working on sewing a second breastfeeding cape to have a spare one to leave at work (thank you Barbara & Deb for the first one & the pattern). My sewing machine decides that it spontaneously doesn't want to work right, so Saturday I headed up to Mom and Dad's to have my Mom help me fix my machine. While I was there, we made a new curtain for Jenna's room.
Yesterday, I was at work and I don't know how many people randomly decided to drop by, but it was pretty hard to get much done. Then last night, Ivan, Angel, Kaity & Kent were going to be coming through Evansville so we all decided to spontaneously meet up for supper at Stolls.
This morning we were talking to Jenna before leaving for work and she has started making multiple "talking" or cooing sounds in response to us talking to her. She mostly responds back to Lance, but she was doing it a little for me, too.
All kind of random, spontaneous things have been happening! I just wonder what's next!
