When we found out we were expecting baby #4 we talked thought he pregnancy with my OB. She is one of the few doctors in her practice to be willing to let women try to VBAC. Since we were all surprised by Toby's weight of 9 lbs and 8 ozs and the emergency C-section, she said at 38 weeks we would have an ultrasound.
So on January 29 we scheduled an ultrasound to check in on our baby. Baby boy was estimated at 8 lbs and 14 ozs with a variance of 6 ozs either way. Doctors are not allowed to take babies prior to 39 weeks unless it is medially necessary. So on Tuesday 2/3 I was 39 weeks. We did not want Jenna to have to share her birthday with her brother so we scheduled a cesarean for 2/4.
Holt Xavier Hofmann joined our lives at 8:26 am on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. He weighed in at 9 pounds and 8 ounces and 21 inches long. He was absolutely perfect. He had the most hair of any of our children at birth. Given the intensity of cold and flu season, we were limited to parents and grandparents as visitors at the hospital.

Toby 18 months
Sir Toby is 18 months old. He is such a sweet boy. I didn't think to get any pictures of him at home, so we took a couple at daycare. He absolutely loves the chalk board/magnetic board easel. He plays with it every evening before we can leave. He plays with it most mornings as soon as he gets his coat off.
He loves seeing himself in the mirror or in selfie mode on the phone. He starts hamming it up every time!As for Toby stats, he weighs 27 lbs and is __ inches tall. He is in the bottom 25% for both. They suspect he might be a short adult. This doesn't really surprise me as there is not a lot of height in his genetics. He is up to 10 teeth, 6 on top and 4 on bottom. He sleeps through the night and still takes one nap during the day. He hasn't had his first haircut, but is due for one at any time. He still gets a breathing treatment every night and has his junky lung issues, but is otherwise a very good, healthy little boy! He goes back for a checkup at Riley on February 11th.

Monroe Hofmann
He has a name....Monroe Hofmann. We traveled to Bloomington to build the baby his own build a bear. We had to come up with a name for him. This task was slightly easier than the name for his future owner. Lance and I started this tradition with Jenna and Nash (from Nashville), continued with Shelby and Evan (from Evansville), proceeded with Toby and Boomer (from Bloomington) and decided we didn't want to leave the newest member of the family without his own teddy bear.
All the others have been bears, so we continued with the bear tradition. Mommy picked him out. Jenna, Shelby and Toby all three added their own heart to his inside, so this little bear is FILLED with LOVE!
Then we gave the new bear a bath under the blower.
Which the girls took very seriously.
Lance took a final picture of Monroe in his outfit, but I don't have it as I am making this post, so I guess I will wait to share that until his owner arrives.

Spoiled by Work
There are few "perks" that come with my job at Farm Credit. One of those is they provide me with a company vehicle. We put a lot of miles on in a year and are allowed to drive them personally at a very cheap per mile rate. They don't like the autos to get more than 60,000 miles before we get to order a new one. I had a 2012 Chevy Equinox that was blue. I ordered a 2015 Chevy Traverse in silver. The bummer is of all the million options on a Traverse, I only got to choose rather I wanted a blue, silver or white one. I got my new one a couple months ago (6,000 miles) in silver and have been very happy with my new ride!

Hofmann Christmas
I hosted the Hofmann Christmas get together on Christmas Eve. We ate lunch and then commenced with the annual family photo.

Gifts unwrapping went so quick I wasn't able to capture any photos but this one.
Ivan and Angel got all 4 of my kids their own chair. Toby got sat in his and wasn't sure what to think at first. The girls love theirs!
The kis also enjoyed playing in the big boxes the chairs came in. Jenna dropped down into one box and when she popped back out she was missing her second bottom tooth. It was loose at our dentist appointment in the end of October and had gotten extremely loose throughout the week prior, so I was not surprised at all when it fell out.
After all the presents were opened, the kids commenced with the annual paper throwing extravaganza.
All the wrapping paper gets thrown around the room and played with for at least 15 minutes before somebody starts bagging and throwing it away.
