Toby 9 months

Toby turned 9 months old on Easter Sunday.  He is such as sweet little guy!

I don't have any stats on him at the present moment, as he doesn't go to the doctor again until 5/5.  He seems to be doing well.  He is sounding much more clear in his breathing.  He still only has two teeth.  He sleeps through the night.  He is just starting to wear 9 month clothes.  He is starting to waive and clap his hands.  He also gives open mouth with tongue kisses. He rolls over.  He is trying to crawl, which at this point is reverse only.  He LOVES to stand on his feet, but he is very wobbly.

Kindergarten Roundup

It is hard to believe that Jenna is old enough to start Kindergarten.  It is even harder to believe that I have a child old enough to be in Kindergarten!

Tonight, when I picked Jenna up from pre-school the teacher asked me if Jenna would be attending Kindergarten at Clay City or at Shakamak.  I smiled and told her we had attended both round-up programs and had registered both places.  We live within Clay City school district but don't have any daycare or after-school care options.  We send the kids to daycare and preschool in Shakamak school district and intend to continue doing so for the foreseeable future.

Either way, Jenna is a very intelligent young lady.  She knew everything the teachers ask of her, except the hexagon shape.  Lance and I were both having proud parent moments when she successfully completed the various sections of round-up.

August and the start of school are just around the corner....EEEKK!

Mattison's 3rd Birthday Party

We were invited to Mattison's house to help her celebrate her birthday on Saturday, March 29.  Lance had an ear infection and strep throat and missed quite a bit of work for the week, so I took the kids down by myself.  We had a part of a beef to pick up from the butcher shop, so we made Merkley's in Jasper our first stop.  We then stopped by and picked up my Mom to head west towards Mattison's house.  We stopped by to visit with Grandma Gumbel along the way.  We were the first ones to Mattison's party, but that allowed us to get to see the house since they have finished moving, decorating, and settled in.

About 20 minutes later the other party guests started arriving.  We had dinner and then one VERY important special guest arrived at the party....Minnie Mouse!  It was neat to see all the kids react to her.  Mattison was terrified at first, but liked her after a few minutes.

We are getting better at getting pictures of all 5 kids together!
Jenna was super excited about Minnie Mouse.  She asked me on the way home if I would print a picture of them together and put it in her room, since it is decorated with Minnie Mouse.
Shelby liked Minnie Mouse!
Toby's expression was priceless.  He looked at her and with the strangest look.
Then we handed him over for a photo and he was a champ!
And the group photo
They had a good time celebrating their cousin's birthday and visiting with the girls.  Happy Birthday Mattison Jean!
