Taking a Stand

Jenna has been growing by leaps and bounds. I never cease to be amazed by her. She has liked to stand for a good while now. Last weekend I decided to see how much of Jenna standing was Mommy or Dadddy helping her versus how much was Jenna. I stood her up next to the couch and she stood there for a good 5 minutes before she fell backwards (into my arms, of course). Then I let her stand again, this time taking a video of it. I thought I would share. Sorry she is sideways for the first half. It didn't dawn on me until half way through that it would be sideways for the blog.

This week was Warrick County's fair. Unfortunately, we didn't make it out there this year. I have been on the road quite a bit for work and Lance worked at Sullivan's fair a couple nights for his work and the week just disappeard on us. Hopefully, we will make it out to Vanderburgh's fair and Jenna will get to see the animals.

John Deere

On Monday, Lance started a new job. He was hired by Vincennes John Deere to sell equipment (ag equipment, lawn mowers, and Stihl). He has been going through training sessions this week.

5 months

Jenna was 5 months old on Friday. We celebrated the holdiay on Friday for work, so I got to spend the day with Jenna at home. Developments.... Other than rolling back and forth, she pretty much always has her hands out straight now.
I was taking multiple pictures and she decided that she wanted to play with Nash.
Here is her upclose facial shot.
She doesn't like just chillin out on her back with the camera in her face, so she rolled over.
Can you see her hair? It is starting to really grow in. However, it is blonde, so it's still hard to see.

July 4th

July forth was full of family fun. My parents have a group of folks that they have been camping with for many years. July forth was no exception. Most all the kids and grandkids came out to visit over the weekend. This of course meant photo op!

All the babies congregated in the Rentchler camper. In age order and L to R...
Ciara, Aubrey, Lexi, Jenna, and Emma.
Is it possible to get 5 babies looking in the same direction all at once?

The girls with their moms.
Carla and Ciara, Barbara and Aubrey, Bonnie and Lexi, Christa and Jenna, Lisa and Emma.

Other than being rainy and kinda cool, we had a nice trip to Lincoln. It was good to see all the camping group and play with all the other kiddos.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Miss Jenna has been rolling! Yes, she has been going from her back to her belly and from her belly to her back for a while now. However, she has finally figured out how to do one, then the other and actually get somewhere.

This all started on Monday night after work. I laid her down on the floor gym while working on supper. I heard her crying so I went to check on her and she was in the corner of the living room laying on top of the register and the AC was blowing. I didn't think too much of it because she was only 2 feet from where she started.

Tuesday at work, she got mad at the wall because it was in her way. It was really funny to watch her smack the wall and fuss at it. I turned her around and she started moving. She made it about 5 feet across the floor in my office, heading for the door, before she fell asleep.

Today the babysitter asked how long she had been a rolly polley bug and had been taking off. She said Jenna really took off today. Speaking of which...she is now staying with the sitter 3 days a week. She is adjusting pretty well. I am kinda disappointed when she goes though. She evidently won't take very long naps during the day, so when I get her home all she wants to do is sleep :(
